Exclusively Yours.
Private Backcountry Ski Immersion · Araucanía, Chilean Andes. Aug-Sept 2026.
"Five Days. Four Guests.
One Mountain."
Nawel Andes is not a tour. It is a Private Winter Immersion among active volcanoes and Araucaria forests. Guests stay 5 nights in Refugio Entre Montañas, trading lift lines for ancient trees, and resort restaurants for fireside asados.
"We don't count vertical. We count moments."
The Skiing
Human-powered access to volcanic bowls and deep glades on ancestral Mapuche land. We earn our turns in silence — through storm-proof forests and ancient Araucaria forests sacred to the Pehuenche people.
The Lodge
Asado, Wine, Connection. Mapuche-inspired cuisine meets Chilean Patagonia comfort. Carmenere wine, guitar by the fire, and evenings in a traditional ruka. Real conversation.
The Format
The entire lodge. Just your group. Everything prepared — all you bring is yourselves.

Born in Nahuelbuta
Nawel is the Mapudungun word for the Jaguar — the spirit guardian of the mountains in Mapuche cosmology.
We grew up in Nahuelbuta — the coastal range of the Araucanía, where Mapuche culture has lived for millennia. That mountain identity is who we are. We founded a Mountain Club there, and we brought that spirit to the Andes.
Every immersion carries that same identity forward. The land speaks through the experience.
We don't just operate in the Andes.
We come from them.
Ride for a Reason.
In Rio de Janeiro, our founder spent three months volunteering with Mundo Novo — working with kids in the communities and seeing firsthand how outdoor experiences can change lives. He brought that conviction home to the Araucanía. Today, $100 of every booking funds the Youth Mountain Program: giving Mapuche and local kids the technical skills and access they need to find opportunity in their own ancestral mountains, rather than having to leave them.
"Camilo came to Rio with nothing but a backpack and a dream to connect with communities. What he built with Nawel Andes is proof that adventure and volunteering can share the same path."
